EXAMINATIONS AND PROMOTIONS

There will be frequent class tests, 4 Formative Assessment (FA) and 2 Summative Assessments (SA) in which SA-II equivalent to Annual Exam as per CBSE.

First term – FA1 (10%) + FA2 (10%) + SA1 (30%)
Second Term – FA3 (10%) + FA4 (10%) + SA2 (30%)
Formative Assessment (FA) 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 = 40%
Summative Assessment (SA) 1+2 = 60%

Students should appear for all the examinations. Promotion is granted on the basis of assessment FA and SA. The decision of the examination committee in the matter of promotion is final. Students will be given grades and descriptive indicators as per CBSE guide lines in the scholastic and co-scholastic activities.

When Parents – Teachers Meet (PTM) is arranged, Parents guardians should come and meet the teachers to evaluate their wards and sign the progress report.

UNFAIR MEANS OF EXAMINATION

The students who use unfair means or receive/give assistance to others in any form during examinations, the answer papers written will be rejected/cancelled and a fresh answer sheet shall be given for the remaining time. Besides, 10 marks will be deducted from the marks obtained from the same examination as a penalty.

The school has three streams – PCM, PCB and Commerce. Streams will be allotted according to the following criteria.
